Nepal Rises is backed by a strong network. We originated from the tech industry, partnered with key NGOs and developed strong ties with Silicon Valley tech firms
As a manager at Google, I’ve volunteered with Nepal Rises to support disaster relief projects after the 2015 earthquake. I was impressed by the energy and ambition, and decided to come back and volunteer full time for 2 months in 2016. The Nepal Rises team is smart, dedicated and supported by a strong advisory board. They are leveraging technology to bring high-quality education to kids who need it the most, in ways that can be measured and scaled nation-wide. I highly recommend donating, supporting, or volunteering with them as an effective contribution to a critical cause in a exceptional country.
The earthquake hit of April 2015, led to a higher impact on the schools making it difficult for Grade 10 students with no classrooms or electricity. At this point of time, NEPAL RISES came to the rescue of 18 SLC appearing students of batch-2015/2016 of Shree Mahakali Secondary School, Giranchaur-8, Melamchi, Sindhupalchowk by distributing Solar Lamps them.
